VIP Simon

Last Sunday’s event was nothing short of sensational. As someone who is blind, the opportunity to get behind the wheel and experience the thrill of driving around the Sandown track is something that simply cannot be put into words. It is an experience filled with excitement, freedom, confidence, and pure joy, and it is only possible because of your incredible commitment and generosity.

VIP Annette

Thank you to every single person who helped make In the Driver’s Seat happen this year. It’s much bigger than just another community event.  For one amazing day each year, you give us back a little piece of our independence, a huge boost to our confidence and memories that will stay with us until the next time we get back in the driver’s seat.

VIP's Mum

“ I would like to thank all the organisers for this year's In the driver's seat!

It was my first time participating and I am looking forward to driving again next year.
This is a great opportunity for us in the vision impaired community to do something we very rarely get to do.:”

I would like to thank the Lions Club, Vision Australia, and all the. wonderful and selfless volunteers who make this event so good for those of us who can no longer drive, or have never driven before. Once a year you make my blindness so much more bearable, and I am truly grateful to you all!
